A few years ago, we started The Homies awards with the intention of shining a light across the blogosphere, specifically highlighting shelter sites our readers deemed worthy of attention and praise. Not so much as a competition, but as an opportunity for everyone to share their favourites from five different categories: Home Design, Home Tech, Kids at Home, Green Home, and Home Cooking.

We're now accepting nominations for this year's awards for any other site that has made your life better through their coverage of home technology; none of our own sites or past winners are eligible (just in case you were wondering, Gizmodo and Engadget shared the crown two years back, while IKEA Hackers won last year). Sites dedicated to home offices, the latest in design+technology, tech productivity tips, tech hacks...we want you to chime in so we can all discover, share and honor the best sites dedicated to the home! Maybe we'll even get Ricky Gervais to roast the nominees...
